Vicall Landlines · Voice Fraud + Social Engineering Alerts

Call-risk detection on
every existing landline.

Your clients keep their phones, their numbers, and their phone system. You deploy a Mac Mini + audio adapter on-premises — it mirrors every inbound call, runs phone social-engineering protection locally, and can alert on risky social-engineering phrases like routing number, wire transfer, password, verification code, and gift card. Verdicts go to the team's phones. No cloud. No rip-and-replace.

Detection live in minutes.

No new phones. No new numbers. No cloud upload. A Mac Mini connects to your existing phone system and mirrors every call's audio locally — Vicall's AI runs on the Mac Mini itself, then pushes the answer to the team's phones before anyone acts.

01

Get a Mac Mini

Any Mac Mini running M1 or later works. Use one you already have or pick up a new base model — it stays in your office and doesn't need a monitor after setup.

02

Connect to Your Phone System

Plug the Mac Mini into your existing landline, PBX, or VoIP system using the included interface. Run the Vicall setup script — takes 2–3 minutes. Your existing phones and numbers are unchanged.

03

Mac Mini Mirrors Every Call's Audio

When any inbound call comes in, the Mac Mini captures the audio in real time. The AI model runs locally — on the Mac Mini's own CPU/Neural Engine. No audio is sent to Vicall's servers or any cloud service.

04

The Answer Goes to Your Phone

The Mac Mini sends a live verdict to the Vicall phone app: REAL VOICE or SYNTHETIC DETECTED. Your team sees the answer in under one second — before they authorize a transfer, share credentials, or act on any instruction.

// Who Needs This

Any business that
takes client calls.

Voice clone fraud targets whoever picks up the phone. These industries are hit hardest — because a single fraudulent call can mean six figures lost before anyone realizes what happened.

⚖️
Law Firms
Wire transfers authorized over the phone. Clients calling to confirm settlement terms. A cloned voice of a partner asking for an emergency fund transfer.
Wire fraud · Client impersonation
💰
Financial Advisors
Retirement withdrawals, account transfers, beneficiary changes — all triggered by a "client" who sounds exactly right. Vicall flags synthetic voice before you act.
Unauthorized transfers · Account takeover
🏠
Real Estate
Closing instructions changed at the last minute by a caller impersonating your title company or buyer. Vicall detects the clone before any funds move.
Closing fraud · Escrow diversion
🏥
Medical Practices
Insurance verification calls, prescription authorizations, patient record requests — social engineering targeting your front desk. Detect it before your staff acts.
HIPAA exposure · Prescription fraud
🏗️
Construction & Contracting
Payment redirection calls from someone claiming to be the GC or project owner. Subcontractors get fake change orders by phone. Detection before you redirect funds.
Payment fraud · Vendor impersonation
🏢
Any Business with a Front Desk
If someone at your business ever acts on a phone instruction — wire, transfer, data access — that call can be the attack vector. Vicall Landlines puts detection on every ring.
Social engineering · Internal impersonation

// The math is simple

One fraud call covers
years of protection.

A single AI voice fraud incident costs businesses an average of $125,000 — and 70% is never recovered. Vicall Landlines software starts at $30/month per site. The first time detection stops a fake "vendor" or "bank," it's already paid for itself — many times over.

// Common Questions

Quick answers.

Do we have to change our phone numbers or phones? +

No. Your existing phones, numbers, and phone system stay exactly as they are. The Mac Mini is the only addition — it plugs into your existing system and mirrors the audio. Callers dial the same number, your staff uses the same phones, and nothing visible changes from either end.

Do callers know their call is being analyzed? +

No. The Mac Mini taps the audio silently on your side. The call connects normally — the caller hears nothing different and has no indication that their voice or risky call language is being checked. The verdict appears only inside Vicall for your team, including the phone alerts they use during the call.

What does "on-device" mean here — isn't the Mac Mini still a computer? +

Yes — and that's exactly the point. "On-device" means the AI inference and phrase-alert checks run locally on the Mac Mini's Neural Engine, not in a cloud data center. The audio is mirrored to the Mac Mini in your office and analyzed there. No audio or transcripts ever leave your building. There's no round-trip to a server, which is why detection is under one second.

How accurate is the detection? +

The current model catches 90–95% of AI-generated voice clones validated on real hardware. False positives on genuine human calls are under 1%. The model updates automatically — you don't need to do anything to stay current.

Can we choose which words trigger alerts? +

Yes. Phrase alerts are optional and configurable. You can keep them off, use the default social-engineering list, or add terms your team should never handle casually on a call — routing number, account number, wire transfer, password, verification code, gift card, payroll change, or industry-specific phrases. The checks run locally on the Mac Mini and do not store transcripts.

What if the detection misses a clone, or flags a real caller? +

Detection is a signal, not a blocker — your employee sees the verdict and still decides whether to act on the call. False positives on genuine callers are under 1%. If a legitimate caller is flagged, your team can verify directly before taking any action. The goal isn't to block calls automatically — it's to eliminate the moment where someone acts on a cloned voice with zero warning.

How many Mac Minis do I need? +

One Mac Mini per office location or phone system branch. If all your lines run through a single PBX or phone system, one Mac Mini covers them all. For businesses with multiple locations, each site gets its own Mac Mini. MSPs typically deploy one per client site.

I'm an MSP — can I deploy this for multiple clients? +

Yes — the MSP portal lets you manage separate phone numbers, seat pools, and invite codes for each client company from a single account. See the MSP Partner Program for details.
