Do I need an IT team to set this up? +

No. You create the company account, link billing, and your portal opens immediately. Your team downloads Vicall on iOS or Android, enters your invite code, and verifies by SMS. The whole setup takes under 5 minutes — no IT configuration, no device enrollment, no helpdesk call.

Does Vicall record or store call audio? +

No. Detection runs entirely on the device using CoreML on iPhone and ONNX on Android. No call audio or transcripts are ever sent to Vicall's servers. We cannot access, record, or store call content. The only data we retain is your account and billing information.

Do employees need to record their voice or set up a voiceprint? +

No. Vicall detects synthetic audio patterns in the caller's voice — it doesn't compare against a stored voiceprint of anyone. No recordings, no training period, no enrollment step. New hires are protected immediately upon joining.

What phones does it work on? +

iOS (iPhone) and Android. Detection runs on-device using CoreML on Apple hardware and ONNX on Android. No minimum OS version beyond what each platform currently supports.

How does the invite code work? +

Your invite code is unique to your company and tied to your seat count. Employees enter it when they first open Vicall — they verify their phone number by SMS and they're in. Codes are company-scoped: nobody outside your organization can join with your code. Generate new codes or revoke old ones instantly from the portal.

Can we turn keyword or phrase alerts on and off? +

Yes. Phrase alerts are optional policy controls, not a hidden recording feature. You can keep them off, use Vicall's default social-engineering list, or configure alerts around terms your team should never handle casually on a call — routing number, account number, password, verification code, wire transfer, gift card, payroll change, or your own custom phrases. Alerts happen during the call; audio and transcripts are not stored.

Is there a contract or long-term commitment? +

Monthly billing only. No annual contract, no cancellation fee. Cancel anytime from your portal — you'll keep access through the end of the billing period already paid for.

Can I add more seats later? +

Yes. Log into your portal and increase your seat count anytime. Additional seats are billed at $25/seat/month on a prorated basis for the remainder of the current billing period.

How accurate is the detection? +

The current model catches 90–95% of advanced voice clones with a false positive rate under 1% on genuine callers. Phrase alerts are separate policy tripwires: if a configured phrase appears, the employee gets a warning to slow down and verify. Detection is a signal, not a call blocker — your employee still makes the final decision.

We also need protection on our office landlines — can Vicall do that? +

Vicall Landlines is a separate product for existing office phone systems. A Mac Mini is deployed on-premises and plugged into your existing PBX, VoIP, or analog landline. It runs detection locally in under a second and sends the verdict to your team's phones. Your phone numbers and phone system stay exactly as they are.
