Our Story
Vicall was founded for the moment a business call turns dangerous: a cloned executive voice, a new routing number, a password reset, a gift-card request, or a caller using urgency to push someone past normal verification.
Our Mission
Make real-time call-risk protection so fast and private that no business has to accept a sensitive phone call on faith again.
Founder & CEO · Vicall
I'm a machine learning engineer who spent years building audio processing and inference pipelines. When AI voice cloning went from a research demo to a wire-transfer scam you could run from a laptop, I saw the larger problem clearly: businesses had no live control layer for phone-based social engineering.
Voice clones are one version of it. Real humans running scripts are another. The dangerous moments sound like ordinary business: routing numbers, account changes, verification codes, payroll updates, gift cards, urgent wires, and pressure to skip the callback.
Vicall is what I built. It runs on-device, detects synthetic audio in real time, and can warn on risky phrases while the call is still happening. No call audio leaves the phone. No transcript is stored. Just a quiet signal that helps the employee slow down before the damage is done.
Phone-based social engineering is business email compromise with a voice, urgency, and no time to think. AI models can replicate a trusted person from a short public sample, but attackers do not always need a perfect clone. Many attacks succeed because the caller asks for the right sensitive thing at the right pressured moment.
The FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center logged over 21,489 BEC complaints in 2023 totaling $2.9 billion in losses — and that's only what was reported. Vishing attacks now reinforce email fraud with live calls involving wire instructions, vendor banking changes, payroll updates, account resets, and one-time codes.
Caller ID, call screening, and human judgment are not enough. Vicall operates at the call layer: detecting synthetic audio signals and optionally warning on risky call language before an employee acts.
That's exactly where Vicall operates.
Most security products protect email, endpoints, and identity systems while leaving live phone conversations uninstrumented. Vicall runs quietly during the call — no action required from the caller or the recipient — and surfaces real-time context before anyone acts on a fraudulent instruction: synthetic-audio verdicts plus optional risk phrase alerts. On the device, in under a second.
On-Device Call Analysis
Synthetic-audio checks and optional phrase alerts run locally. No call audio is transmitted to Vicall, and no transcript is stored.
Real-Time Detection
Detection happens fast enough to matter during the call, before a user accepts a routing number, shares a code, or authorizes a payment instruction.
MSP-Native Policy
Built for Managed Service Providers. Provision clients from a single portal, set phrase-alert policy by client, and monitor rollout across your customer base.
Company Invite Codes
Each business gets a unique invite code that links all employees to a shared security context — no per-seat setup, no provisioning delays.
Privacy Is Non-Negotiable
Security that requires surrendering call audio to a third-party server is not security — it's a different attack surface. On-device processing is the only architecture that doesn't create a honeypot.
Speed Beats Policy
A two-minute verification checklist fails when the attacker creates urgency. Real-time call context wins because it appears while the social pressure is being applied.
Humans Are Not the Weak Link
Social engineering defeats human judgment by design. A clone sounds familiar; a real human sounds authoritative; urgency makes hesitation feel costly. Blaming users misses the point. Technology should make the risky moment visible.
Small Business Deserves Enterprise Defense
Phone fraud targets small businesses specifically because they lack IT departments and compliance budgets. Direct business accounts start at $25/seat/month — no IT setup, no contract. MSP wholesale pricing extends that to every client in a managed portfolio.
Vicall is purpose-built for organizations where a single fraudulent phone call can cause catastrophic financial or reputational damage:
Small and mid-size businesses — especially professional services firms in finance, legal, accounting, and healthcare where wire transfers and sensitive data move over the phone daily.
Managed Service Providers — who need to protect multiple clients from a single portal without per-client onboarding friction. Vicall's MSP tier is designed around their workflows, not bolted onto a consumer product.
Government agencies and schools — where impersonation attacks target budget approvals, HR changes, and emergency contact systems.
Nonprofits — who receive donor communications over the phone and face executive impersonation attacks during fundraising campaigns.
If your organization moves money, data, or decisions over the phone, Vicall is built for you.
